SURROUNDING

The property is situated in Contrada Cervarolo, whose name recalls the presence of deer in the foothills of Murgia when it was still covered with forests. The first buildings of this area date back to the sixteenth century. A few hundred meters from the ”Trullo”, you will find a beautiful ”masseria”, a traditional farm, with its baroque church of 1798, once a place of religious pilgrimage.  The rolling hills of the district still have a low population density.

The complex has a wonderful southern exposure and is located approximately 300 meters above sea level, dominating the district with its large cone. The property has certainly been inhabited since 1800 and was a landmark for the neighborhood because of its wood-fired oven, the only one of the area.

NEAR THE PROPERTY

Only 1.5 km from the Trullo, if you follow the state route from Ostuni to Martina Franca, you can find a café-supermarket-gastronomy where you can find anything you will need, every day, at every time. On the other side of the road you can buy fruits and vegetables from the door of a local farmer

Puglia is an ancient land with a spectacular town on every hill!  Ostuni, Martina Franca, Ceglie Messapica, Cisternino, Locorotondo and Alberobello, all towns situated very close to the Trullo. A little bit further you can find Lecce, Bari, Matera, Andria con Castel del Monte, Polignano, Gallipoli, Otranto and also Santa Maria di Leuca.

We would recommend you visit some beaches on the Adriatic Sea:  Costa Merlata, Torre Pozzelle and Baia dei Ginepri. A bit further south you will find the breath-taking natural reserve of Torre Guaceto and in the north, the beaches of Torre Canne. The Ionian Sea is not too far either, try the reserve of Torre Colimena, the dunes of Campomarino and the white beaches of Punta Prosciutto.
